Brief Biography
Roderick Barnes has been employed with the GEAR-UP program as an Academic Coordinator since October of 1999. He enjoys being part of a team that is focused on helping students and their parents set and achieve their academic goals. His primary responsibilities include:
Providing students with the skills to strengthen the developmentof positive relationships with their families, school, and neighbors through improved communication skills, familty management, and parenting skills.
Assess individual stengths and weaknesses in order to create an "action plan or career map" that addresses their social, emotional, and academic needs.
