Brief Biography
Svetlana Yampolskaya, PH. D., is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Child & Family Studies at the Louis de la Parte Florida Mental Health Institute at the University of South Florida. She has been involved in numerous studies related to child maltreatment issues and adolescents at risk. For several years she has been co-investigator for Evaluation of Privatization of Child Welfare in Florida managing Florida Child Welfare Information Systems datasets (i.e., HomeSafenet, FAHIS), conducting data analyses, and developing reports of study findings. In addition, she has participated in numerous studies involving the child welfare system and adolescents with serious emotional disturbances. Her current research interests include prevention of violence against children as well as advanced analytical and methodological approaches.
