Brief Biography

Dabaram Rampersad is a National HIPPY Trainer and the Assistant State Director of the Florida HIPPY Training & Technical Assistance (T&TA) Center at the University of South Florida. Dabaram oversees the operations of all Florida HIPPY programs, manages state funds for Florida HIPPY programs, organizes an annual state conference, and provides training and technical assistance to new and existing HIPPY programs. Dabaram has worked as the New York Site HIPPYCorps Project Director, and Coordinator of Internal Operations with HIPPY USA's national office in New York. He has coordinated trainings and professional development, managed the New York Site HIPPYCorps budget; managed contractual agreements with local programs and states, and, provided training and technical assistance to programs across the country. Dabaram holds a Master of Science degree in Administration of Human Services, as well as two Bachelor's degrees. He is formerly from the island of Trinidad, West Indies, where he worked as a high school Math and Science Teacher as well as a Dean of Discipline and Studies in his alma mater, St. Mary's College.
