Brief Biography

Ms. Newman came to the Institute in April, 1999 from the College of Arts and Sciences. In addition to her work as manager, writer and editor of the Data Trends project, she co-coordinates the Research and Training Center's Annual Conference for Children's Mental Health, and edits the Proceedings from that conference. Previously, she was business manager for the Journal of Applied Communications Research, and managing editor of Hypatia: A Journal of Feminist Philosophy. Her interests at the Institute include cultural competency, self-report, access to services, complex systems theory, and knowledge transfer. She is currently working on her PhD in philosophy.
