Adaptive Behavior Assessment Instrument (ABAI)

This project focuses on developing an assessment instrument that will provide precise “diagnostic” information around the cutoff point where an individual is deemed to present “significant limitations” in adaptive behavior.

An Empirical Investigation of the Effectiveness of Parent Support Groups

The goal of the project is to produce innovative strategies to support parents, enhance their collaboration with their child's school and teachers, and to improve outcomes for their children. This will be accomplished through the implementation of an effective parent support program that includes weekly parent to parent connections as well as periodic educational programs providing information about community resources.  

Applied Behavior Analysis Master's Program

The ABA Masters Program at USF is a two year, full time program with a course sequence and practicum approved by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board. Students are admitted in the fall semester based on their academic record and experience/interest in applied behavior analysis.

Center for Autism and Related Disabilities CARD-USF

The Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD-USF) at the University of South Florida is a community-based project that provides information and consultation to individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and related disabilities. CARD at USF is one of six regional CARD sites funded by the Florida State Legislature and offers instruction and coaching to families and professionals through a training and assistance model.

Center for the Study of Children's Futures

The Center for the Study of Children's Futures is dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of Florida's children through data, research, analysis, and community involvement.  

Center on the Social Emotional Foundation for Early Learning (CSEFEL)

The Center on the Social and Emotional Foundations for Early Learning is intended to promote the social emotional outcomes and enhance the school readiness of low-income children birth to age 5, and to serve as a national resource center for disseminating research and evidence-based practices to Head Start and Child Care programs across the country. The Center is a jointly funded by the Office of Head Start and the Child Care Bureau, under the auspices of the children on Children, Youth, and Families at the U.S. Department on Health and Human Services.  

CFS Administration

The Division of Administration serves as the hub of support for the Department of Child & Family Studies, and represents a collection of expertise to support projects, research, training and service activities for the department, FMHI and USF.

CFS Communications

The Division of Communication promotes the Department, supports the work of the Department, and creates information flow within the Department through a broad range of technical support and consultation in all mediums of knowledge dissemination, product design, including desktop publishing, media relations, web-based services and surveys, as well as technical support for department conferences.

CFS Knowledge Product Design

The design staff of CFS Communications is available for integrated design for families of information products. Their professional design work is both paper and web-based.
