SEDNET: Network for Students with Severe Emotional Disturbance

Description

The Multi-Agency Network for Students with Severe Emotional Disturbance (SEDNET) is designed to provide a systems approach to integrating education and mental health services for students with emotional disturbances and their families. It serves as a mechanism for the school districts, the state department of children and families, the state department of juvenile justice, as well as community agencies, parents and child advocates to work together on issues of mutual concern relating to the provision of services to these students. The Florida Department of Education has provided funding for SEDNET Accountability Database/Reporting Project. The primary goal of the database is to allow the SEDNET Projects to demonstrate the connection of local project processes/outcomes to the goals of NCLB, DOE and local boards.
