Project Details

Program-Wide PBS Implementation in Early Childhood (PWPBS)

Description

The project provides training and technical assistance for the implementation of a program-wide model of Positive Behavior Support (PBS) for young children (birth to five) within selected community early childhood programs in Hillsborough County. It will offer teachers and families effective strategies for supporting children's social-emotional development and addressing challenging behavior.

In addition to providing support to seven community child care centers, PWPBS also conducts monthly trainings on the teaching pyramid: addressing young children with challenging behavior. These training sessions are in the format of presentations and make-and-takes. Each session is free to early childhood professionals. To find out more information about trainings or to register, please contact Rochelle Lentini, lentini@fmhi.usf.edu.
