Supported Competitive Integrated Employment Team Training (SCIETT)

Description

The Supported Competitive Integrated Employment Team Training project will continue the work, from the first year of the project, to lay the groundwork for building a sustainable training and technical assistance system in supported employment for community rehabilitation providers, families and individuals with disabilities, and other stakeholders in Florida. Such a system is a necessary element in developing the capacity necessary to not only implement more services for the many individuals who want to work, but to develop a system of quality that utilizes best and cutting edge practices.

This work will be accomplished through the provision of training and technical assistance for two pilot sites identified during the first year of the project and four pilot sites identified during the second year of the project. All training and technical assistance will be provided through a collaboration of Florida Center for Inclusive Communities/UCEDD staff and state and nationally recognized consultants in supported and customized employment.
