Center for the Study of Children's Futures Releases Latest Information on Florida's Children and Teen Mothers

Two new publications at the Center for the Study of Children's Futures, located within the Department of Child and Family Studies, reveal the latest information gathered on Florida's children and teen mothers.

Florida's Children At A Glance, 2002, produced to be used as a quick reference to current, comprehensive data on Florida's population ages 0-24, includes the state and and county profiles. Data includes information on the 2000 population, child well-being factors, birth indicators, youth and the law, and education.

The Florida's Teen Mothers brochure provides information taken from 2000 data from the Office of Vital Statistics, Florida Department of Health. State and county information includes births by age of mother, with specifics on teen mothers ages 15-19.

To request a copy of either publication, contact the Center at 813-974-7411.
