Although the faculty and staff of the Department of Child & Family Studies work closely with some agencies providing services and supports to families, with few exceptions, members of the CFS community do not offer direct clinical services to families.

Crisis Center of Tampa Bay

For crisis counseling, information and referral in the Tampa Bay area, pick up the phone and call 2-1-1. The 2-1-1 Tampa Bay division of the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay offers a safe place to call for help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They assist people with issues such as; basic needs, relationships, parenting, mental health, substance abuse, legal affairs, economic well-being, and senior services.

The Children´s Board of Hillsborough County Florida offers a wealth of on-line resources, both local to the Tampa Bay area, and beyond Florida.

The Federation of Families for Children´s Mental Health

The Federation of Families for Children´s Mental Health has chapters throughout Florida and the nation, and provides support and assistance for those with children with serious emotional or behavioral disturbances.

The Center for Autism and Related Disabilities

The Center for Autism and Related Disabilities can help those caring for individuals with Autism or related disorders find appropriate supports and services in Florida, and address questions related to these disabilities.
