Administration Core
The Administration Core serves as the hub of support for the Department of Child & Family Studies, and represents a collection of expertise to support projects, research, training and service activities for the department, de la Parte institute and USF.
Functions of CFS Administration Core Include:
Sponsored Research – Serves as central resource for procedural knowledge/information, technical assistance and training for proposal preparation and contract and grant awards received. Serves as liaison with USF Division of Sponsored Programs. During the last two fiscal years, over 50 proposals were submitted to sponsored research from the department.
Accounting – Total of CFS fiscal oversight (open accounts) is $30,921,425 as of April 2007. CFS Administration monitors completion/accuracy of accounting functions within all divisions, and provides feedback on monthly reconciliations, PARS, and PETs (Payroll/Nonpayroll Expenditure Transfers) Serves as central resource for procedural knowledge/information, technical assistance and training on accounting duties. Serves as liaison with USF finance and accounting.
Personnel – As of June 2007, CFS had 286 employees. Central Administration keeps centralized personnel records, and provides policy & troubleshooting for CFS.
Facility Centralized support for the work environment, including telecommunication, property, maintenance and space allocation.
