The EQUIPO (team) project is a partnership with the Federation of Families for Children's Mental Health of Hillsborough County. It is funded by the Children's Board of Hillsborough County and housed at the Louis de la Parte Florida Mental Health Institute. Its focus is to train and empower natural helpers in the neighborhood and community to support families with special needs navigate and build collaborative relationships with community providers. This is achieved by conducting three phases of training for natural helpers and service providers during the year: Affective Leaders and Natural Helpers Training, EQUIPO Training and the Training of the Trainers. |
